The 7th annual Deer Camp Dinner is approaching. The Athletic Booster fundraising dinner will be held Saturday, February 17, 2018 beginning at 3:00 PM at the Knights of Columbus hall in Davison. Tickets are $25 in advance and $40 at the door. This year’s event will again include an afternoon of deer camp camaraderie, gun raffles, silent auctions, raffle items including a variety of hunting and fishing items along with a catered dinner and our famous fish fry and a cash bar.
This event has become the Athletic Boosters’ biggest fundraiser of the year. The Boosters have worked diligently to supplement the school district’s athletic budget over the last decade. We’ve stepped up to support the athletic program when public school monies have become tight and district dollars go first toward instructional programs. Over the last few years, we have been able to provide new uniforms to every sport at every level, provide scholarships to our student athletes and assist with the district’s athletic equipment budget. Our goal for this year’s dinner is to raise enough money to strip, repair, paint and resurface the high school gym floor. The money raised at last year’s dinner went a long way toward this goal, but we are still short.
