Softball: Skill Training Sessions

The softball skill training sessions are in week 14 of 17.  The sign up book is in the main office. They are optional, and run on Tuesday night, Thursday night, at the Middle School and Saturday’s at the High School. Tryouts are set for the week of March 9th. Alliance Hockey Wins Again!

Congratulations to the Alliance hockey team as they defeated Grand Rapids Central twice this past weekend.  Final scores of both games were 9-1 with the Alliance winning both.  Logan Hendrickson scored 4 goals and had 2 assists and Dakota Lehman scored 2 goals.

Wrestling Update

Congratulations to the varsity team this week, defeating Byron, Mayville, and Bentley at a team tournament.  John Guzowski, Henry Baxter, and Jake Jackson went undefeated 5-0, while Jewell Colley and Matt Mulholland went 4-1, Timber Hartsell and Jewell Colley both took 2nd place in the Manistee all girls tournament and Dylan Hennessy took 2nd place

Free Heart Screening Event

The Thomas Smith Memorial Foundation and Hurley Medical Center are offering a FREE Teen Heart Health screening on Saturday, January 17th, 2015.  The screening will be held at Carman Ainsworth Middle School in Flint. All screenings include an electrocardiogram.  A cardiac ultrasound will be performed if necessary.  Hurley cardiologists will be on site to interpret
